About me.
“Heather has a unique ability to help CEOs package and communicate their vision in a way that investors, buyers, and stakeholders can immediately understand and believe in. She doesn’t just position products or companies well; she helps people clearly visualize the opportunity, the strategic market fit, and the long-term value creation story. That skill is incredibly valuable.” ”
I’m at my best when I'm building. Building brands. Building teams. Building the kind of marketing organizations that help companies grow.
Track record
For more than two decades, I've driven growth and resilience for education and edtech companies, from scrappy startups where I also led successful exits to global brands like Pearson, McGraw-Hill, Cengage, and Nearpod/Renaissance.
I generate results because I'm passionate about the mission, the people, the learning, and the craft of marketing itself, and it's energized me throughout my career. CFO’s have shared that they learned more about marketing after working with me. Direct reports have shared that it’s my ability to “see the field” that’s given them the edge.
I excel by bringing clarity to complexity, aligning marketing with the needs of the business, and motivating teams to execute the most important priorities with excellence.
Operating approach
As a full-stack marketer myself, I genuinely love this work. Marketing has become incredibly complex since my undergraduate days at Washington State University (Go Cougs!), and that makes it both challenging and fun. As an experienced executive leader, I thrive on curious collaboration that tackles a company’s biggest challenges. Positivity (according to Clifton’s StrengthsFinder) is one of my top strengths (along with Strategy), and I bring it to every engagement.
If this resonates, let’s work together.
“I believe the best marketing doesn’t just generate growth. It brings people together, creates community, and has a lasting impact.”
